The program allows to set the Wake up by Alarm time for ATX computer.(Wake up by Alarm). In additional it may restart or shutdown the computer. Wake up time may be set whether in on-screen mode or command prompt. The program full function is available only under Win95/98 or under WinNT/Win2K with giveio.sys driver started! Utility support known me main boards.

Command prompt parameters:

/ON or /OFF - set awakening on or off
/DXX - day of month (0 for every day)
/HXX - awakening hour
/MXX - minute
/SXX - second
/TXX:XX:XX - awakening time
/r - restart computer
/sp - suspend computer

/sd - shutdown computer
To avoid question about close dos-sessions you may specify /R or /SD

/CNAME - write information into NAME file
/FNAME - work with NAME file instead of real mainboard (to debug working with new mainboards)

Before you use this utility you must specify your computer's mainboard. To do so you should just erase program configuration file. And at first start-up of the program you will be enquired about the mainboard model. You may achieve the same result by writing MB=0 in [Settings] section of configuration file.

Attention! You BIOS settings (stored in CMOS memory) may be lost!

If your mainboard is not in the list and you can provide me with information about it - do it! You will have to restart your computer three or four times :)
  1. With the help of BIOS set awakening time to 18:00:00 for every day; with the help of the program write information into file (type at command prompt: byalarm /c1.bin)
  2. Now use BIOS to set awakening time to 19:20:45, the 15th; With the help of the program write the information into file (type: byalarm /c2.bin)
  3. Use BIOS to set awakening time to 19:00:00, the 15th and forbid the computer to wake up by alarm; with the help of the program write the information into file (type: byalarm /c3.bin)
  4. And finally use BIOS to set awakening time to 00:00:00, the 31th; with the help of the program write information into file (type: byalarm /c4.bin)
  5. Now archive the obtained files (1.bin, 2.bin, 3.bin and 4.bin). Send this archive to me using one of the addresses from Author page. In the letter specify the name of your mainboard.
